Appearance

UNTURNED.

Alderstar is a gigantic tomcat, possessing the genetics of a lilac diluted calico, patched with ginger fur on the left side of his neck and shoulder, followed by a smaller faded area on the right side. There is also a faded creamy orange pigment in his nape and the backside of his hindquarters. There are general areas of this pastel-like orange throughout his fur, especially on the bottom side of his feathery tail and heels. Alderstar's pelage is very velutinous and silky, providing warmth throughout each season. He sheds off the layers in the warmer seasons, giving his physique less dimension. The weather doesn't lessen his enormous size; though it's transparent, there's less fur during Newleaf and Greenleaf. His undercoat is most likely silvery-white, covered in atramentous classic mackerel markings. The tomcat possesses a handsome facade, with a muscular figure beneath all that fur. The creamy streak on his nose to his forehead creates a dynamic structure between the lower jaw and the ears. His long, lynx-tufted auditories pull together his countenance alongside his beautiful golden-yellow visionaries. There is a bit of white all through his pelt, most noticeable on his throat and chest, extending to his underbelly. He has very large white paws, with deadly sharp talons buried within them.

Quick description: a behemoth white, black, and grey mackerel Maine Coon tom with golden eyes and patches of cream.

Personality

WRITE YOUR STORIES IN THE SAND
CARVE YOUR BLESSINGS IN STONE.

Alderstar is a well-rounded warrior, displaying a genuine demeanor with thoughtful vocalizations and occasional advice. As much as Alderstar would prefer not to communicate with others, he is very benevolent and never turns down a conversation. He wouldn't want to disappoint anyone, portraying cordiality and empathy. The enormous tomcat was deemed dignified, possessing a composed disposition, whereas most cats respected his loyalty toward the Clan and those within. Alderstar has matured since his kit-hood and apprenticeship, as he'd formally been a discourteous, arrogant mouse-brain. As he aged through his training, the tom's mentor pronounced him a self-critical bachelor. Alderstar has worked very hard to recognize his mistakes, physically and mentally. He was formally observed as a brute; he fixated on his flawed perspective and discourtesy, eventually achieving an intense passion for his responsibilities. Alderstar has a clear head, pursued by a systematic mindset, and strategically aligns his objectives and direction before settling his actions. If there's no methodical structure to his intent, making it very problematic for the sire to follow through. Fortunately, his methods are typically precise and successful when leading a situation.

There's no doubt that Alderstar illustrates a loyal persona, considering he will invariably settle behind his Clan. Interestingly, Alderstar occasionally doesn't appear trustworthy regarding his confidential moments. If there's anyone an individual could disclose a secret to, consider Alderstar. No matter the unknown, the tomcat rigorously believes he must preserve it. While never turning anyone down, Alderstar is rigidly cynical, skeptical of just about everyone. The bachelor is rarely curious about numerous individuals, persuading himself that they could be destructive. Unfortunately, the tom has commitment issues in both relationships and friendships. Due to such an intense and intimidating aura, his deathly silence could transpire to the opposition that Alderstar is relatively unfathomable as it's contesting to depict what's going through his mind. It's not feasible that multiple would be capable of reaching into the depths of Alderstar intellect, considering he's practically secured off.

It's not conceivable Alderstar would be witnessed in a crowd, as he's a significantly solitary warrior. The youthful warrior isn't dependent on others, as his mentor raised him to be more autonomous. Alderstar's father passed away in his early apprenticeship days, his mentor technically becoming the tom's adoptive father. The tortie is moderately unpretentious, as he doesn't attempt to impress anyone but himself to satisfy his own needs and wants. Of course, he's pretty selfless with a predominant amount of circumstances, but in a social sense, he could care less. The bachelor doesn't desire the attention in the slightest, embarrassed by admiration. Alderstar isn't necessarily paranoid, but he is vigilant of others' decisions and actions. The tomcat despises danger, though he conquers it exceptionally skillfully. His intuition is at its peak during patrols, his visage sharp for anything that could occur. The bachelor struggles to let loose. Alderstar is definitely zany for such an intense and mysterious ambiance as his unorthodox psyche is out of the ordinary. Despite his accommodating behavior when spoken to, his unengaged essence is undoubtedly diverse.

Backstory

EVERYTHING CHANGES
EVEN STONE.

โ—‰ BIRTH
Alderkit was birthed from two matured warriors, who were approximately forty moons when they'd had Alderkit, Blazingkit, and Driftkit. His mother chose his name after red alder, which is the color white, with darker pigmented bark etched in the alabaster tree. Blazingkit had a forceful personality as soon as he was born, pushing away his siblings to get milk first. Of course, his blazing ginger pelage had also assisted in concluding a suitable name. Meanwhile, Driftkit was named for the driftwood coloration here and there within her diluted pelt. Between Driftkit, Blazingkit, and Alderkit, the largest had been Alderkit and the most eccentric one. Blazingkit was a bold, demanding tomcat, while Driftkit swayed her unique way.

โ—‰ KITHOOD
He hadn't been enthusiastic about becoming an apprentice, portraying disinterest. Even less, he showed adequately no care to become a warrior. Though little did he know, his future mentor would challenge him. Eventually, it was a few days before his apprenticeship, as he was reaching around six moons then. Alderkit would complain to his affectionate, supportive mother that he hadn't felt prepared or desired to live this lifestyle. He wasn't sure how to think about any of it. His mother consoled him with a few gentle licks atop his head, followed by, "I know you're probably scared, nervous, unprepared...but we all must for our survival, my dear Alderkit," A warm smile caressed Kestrelrain's countenance, "You will do incredible, without a doubt, becoming a warrior is such an honorable experience." The molly concluded, the diminutive kit nuzzling into the Queen's neck.

โ—‰ APPRENTICESHIP
The tom's apprenticeship would take a tremendous shift as the moons persisted. Before he knew it, his first training session was about to commence, meeting Stonegaze at the camp's entrance. Many emotions washed over the apprentice, dreading this session with Stonegaze. He was treacherous and bore zero limits. It wasn't the warrior's first rodeo as a mentor, as Alderpaw would be his second. Alderpaw had excellent parents who consistently encouraged him to become a dutiful and respectable warrior, but he still didn't know what to expect. Stonegaze explained that he would introduce the territory to Alderpaw to grasp the surroundings. Meanwhile, they would get to know each other a bit better. Alderpaw felt alleviated that he cared to know his apprentice, soothed by his gentle vocalizations. Was Stonegaze that bad? He didn't have to find out today, but possibly another day. Stonegaze's last apprentice was more uncomplicated to train, though the mentor remained inflexible and made sure to hit every skill, adding extra hours to training. He worked his previous apprentice hard. Alderpaw thoroughly enjoyed his first lesson, as it was simple and pleasant. The two talked about themselves, explaining their goals in life. However, Stonegaze was shocked to hear Alderpaw didn't intend to become a talented warrior. He wanted nothing to do with this lifestyle.

Stonegaze didn't press the circumstances, as the mentor believed he could convince Alderpaw that this was a wonderful life. Alderpaw was satisfied that Stonegaze didn't attempt to compel his beliefs, relieved that he wasn't as blunt as numerous deemed to portray him. The next lesson was unexpected. Stonegaze informed Alderpaw that the next training session would focus on tracking, which would lead to learning how to hunt and climb. There were multiple dexterities Alderpaw must retain and succeed. Stonegaze wasn't entirely where to start, as he typically wasn't soft toward anyone. Alderpaw was nervous for his first, true lesson, considering he had to illustrate his practically nonexistent skills. He never played with his siblings as a kit, constantly at his mother's flank, concealed in her pelage. During the lesson, Stonegaze was intense, pushing Alderpaw to his limits, feeling the exhilaration as he scrutinized the apprentice and supervised. Alderpaw was no longer gleeful, understanding what others meant by Stonegaze's intense, commanding persona, as displayed during sessions. The two trained for a few hours every day, never allowing Alderpaw to have much of a rest. The apprentice frequently felt depleted, sleeping when attainable. It was always as if he didn't get enough rest, sore and feeling distressed. There were days his mentor would train twice a day, during the night and day, to grasp how different the times can be.

The lectures pressed on, Stonegaze eventually permitting the tom to acquire an interlude, giving him about two days between each session when he reached eight moons. His first two and a half moons were fatiguing and an absolute adrenaline rush. Alderpaw gradually grew more monumental than his mentor; the more diminutive, lithe tomcat explained the Maine Coon's behemoth size advantages. Alderpaw was proliferating in size, typically displaying that an individual would be massive. Stonegaze's visage would occasionally travel to Alderpaw's enormous digits, knowledgeable that those huge paws could guarantee damage due to their hefty differentia. Stonegaze observed that Alderpaw's predominant skill succeeded in combat, followed by rapid swimming and climbing mastery. Interestingly, Alderpaw couldn't entirely hunt sufficiently, though he had an extraordinary nose, tracking down unfamiliar cats, other mammals, and prey. His disinterest was hunting, even though he needed to eat to survive. Alderpaw relied on his clanmates to hunt for the Clan. However, when invited on a hunting patrol, he never denied it, inclined to attempt furthermore. There were many patrols Alderpaw assisted in exiling unwelcomed loners and rogues, gaining a well-rounded reputation. He was doing just as his parents wished and hoped for him.

With everything Stonegaze exemplified, Alderpaw made sure to remember the information he'd taught him and allowed him to practice. Another few moons passed, and Alderpaw had combined training sessions now and then with his brother Blazingpaw and his mentor. With very contrasting personalities, the two brothers had been relatively competitive; thankfully, they maintained an adequate association. They rarely quarreled. The two would pride each other, glorifying their dexterities and providing advice, even after mentors had. They were eminent siblings to one another, and little did they comprehend that they would solely be the kin of Duskmane and Kestrelrain remaining. Stonegaze was proud of how much his apprentice was accomplishing, feeling that he'd succeed apprenticeship quicker than he'd imagined. At first, Alderpaw displayed no respect nor care regarding eventually becoming a warrior, but now he prospered and permanently desired to exhibit improvement. Alderpaw used to be uptight concerning any of what he was accomplishing now, scornful of himself for how far he's come.

The upcoming night was the most eventful, disturbing day of his life. Duskmane and Kestrelrain had wanted to take their growing apprentices on a stroll, excusing it as a nightly patrol, bringing along two fellow warriors who departed ways. The three trainees inspirited to describe their apprenticeship to their joyful parents. It wasn't long into the conversation that Alderpaw spoke, brows furrowing out of concern, "Coyote..." Alderpaw murmured, skimming the surroundings, "I smell a coyote. We could be in danger." His vocals were slightly panicked, his parents quickly enveloping their children out of protection.

"It knows we're here. We must move quickly, Driftkit; go get the others," Kestrelrain communicated sternly, her gaze shifting toward Alderpaw, waterworks seeping from her visionaries. She was unbelievably proud of her son. "Alderpaw, you're amazing. He's not close yet, but he's coming. Your talent in tracking is otherworldly." With a tense smile, she faced forward as Duskmane covered the backside. Blazingpaw and Alderpaw monitoring the opposing sides, the felines huddled in a circular positioning, rearing to one another.

"Dad, watch!" Before Duskmane knew it, the coyote launched from the shrubbery, grappling Duskmane around the nape. Duskmane was large but didn't surpass Kestrelrain's size, perhaps why the coyote headed for Duskmane first. Blood instantly spilled, the older warrior yowling in agony as the coyote's grip fastened. It was petrifying. Alderpaw took a sharp inhale as both apprentices froze for a moment. They hadn't experienced anything like this before. Alderpaw quickly scrambled to a defensive position, watching the coyote vigorously shake his father. It was brutal. It took a lot of mustering up the courage to attack, eventually making his move. "Blazingpaw, get the flank. I'll go for the top, mom; you get the other flank!" He authorized the situation, astonished by the words coming out of his maw. Stonegaze taught him well. Alderpaw pivoted on his foundations, lunging at an inclination up the tree, propelling himself up the trunk with powerful hindquarters, talons grasping the bark, assisting in the fluid movement toward an elevated, thick branch.

Dropping Duskmane, the coyote veered toward Kestrelrain, who attempted to weave around the coyote; meanwhile, Blazingpaw headed for the flank. Kestrelrain swallowed thickly, petrified, although she pressed on and lunged, getting trapped between the coyote's jaws. Within seconds, Alderpaw reached a large branch to preserve his weight. He'd been targetting the coyote's backside from overhead, shifting his weight as he dropped from above. Alderpaw had unsheathed his lengthy grapnels, gripping the coyote's flesh as he wrapped his mandibles along his nape, sinking his teeth in. The coyote released a limp physique, meaning both of his parents were killed. Feeling blood ripple from the coyote, he felt somewhat accomplished, unprepared to discover his parents were no longer alive. Blazingpaw had used his forepaws to strike and slash the coyote's flank, soon joined by Driftpaw and the other two warriors from earlier. Alderpaw tugged upright, angling his neck slightly to lacerate the skin while being struck by four other felines. It was five against one, and the coyote was giving in. Yelps escaped the canine's mandibles, eventually escaping the warriors' wrath and sprinting deep into the forest. The three apprentices quickly dashed to their parents, falling to the ground as they observed the lifeless cadavers, surrounded by a pool of their blood. The lacerations ran deep, leading to a brisk, primarily painless death. The two warriors consoled the apprentices, guiding them back to camp with little to no goodbye. It was disheartening, particularly for Alderpaw. The warrior he looked up to most was gone. His mother, Kestrelrain, was no longer there to give him advice and push him through.

From there on out, Alderpaw became more distant. That night, they mourned the death of two marvelous warriors, Duskmane and Kestrelrain. The tom's siblings, alongside himself, had their upcoming warrior ceremony, honored for their bravery and utilization of their remarkable skills. The leader began, naming Blazingpaw, Blazingfox for his intellect and arrogance, and Driftpaw as Driftripple for her quietness and light demeanor. Last but not least, Alderpaw was renamed Alderstone for his resilience and reserved persona. The three had finally been warriors, but they were parentless. Stonegaze quickly stepped up, obviously conscious of the deaths, and took the three youthful warriors in as his own.

โ—‰ WARRIORHOOD
Alderstone was grateful he'd become a warrior, but every day was a challenge for him, missing his parents day by night. Stonegaze assisted the three siblings with their mentality, pushing them to strive and cherish the memories that they made with them. There wasn't a day that Alderstone didn't think about all the gracious conversations he enclosed with Kestrelrain. His siblings had a better relationship with their father than their mother but wished both didn't go so soon. After several moons, he had recollected himself, though never reverted to his social perspective. Alderstone was a loner. The warrior was young and had a prolonged life ahead of him as a warrior. He hoped to make his parents proud, finally able to convince himself they would admire him from above in StarClan. They were still there, even if he couldn't physically see them.

He hoped to make his parents proud, finally able to convince himself they would admire him from above in StarClan. They were still there, even if he couldn't physically see them. As he aged, the pain never entirely dissipated, making him constantly feel on edge. He never dared take out his emotions on anyone else, maintaining his courteous demeanor. The young warrior eventually received his first apprentice, named Foxpaw. She was a belligerent and independent apprentice who appeared partially like him during his apprenticeship. Except, Alderstone wasn't contentious. He just indicated incompetence and no desire to be a warrior.

Foxpaw constantly made inquiries that weren't entirely important or relevant to training. Most questions revolved around death. She was an abnormal feline, and he was concerned about her stability. It was a long journey training his apprentice, but he'd done it successfully. The damsel had subdued slightly, but her talent in combat was terrifying, primarily due to her blood-thirsty temperament. Alderstone passed down the mentorship that Stonegaze had initially taught him, giving the she-cat endless training sessions until it was time for her warrior ceremony. These sessions ended earlier than intended when the skirmish broke out between the Clans. Alderstone had fought against numerous felines that day, watching death once more, bringing back violent memories he despised and dreaded. It was unpleasant with all the bloodspill that day. His leader lost his two last lives, being attacked by more than one cat at a time. Alderstone and the previous deputy attempted to rescue him, though his deputy had lost his life in the midst. Alderstone was furtunate enough to survive in the end. Many agreed that Alderstone should take leadership, even though he was younger. He had plenty of room to grow. His apprentice, who fought by his side, had been renamed Foxblaze for her secretive yet honorable status. She was brave during the war.
