Ilexstrike is a smaller shorthaired brown tabby tom with startlingly intelligent green eyes. He's very thin and obviously not strong, but has lithe muscles and tends to be very quick to get about.

Build: Small and lithe, with not much muscle to look at.
Scars: Just one on his hind leg that makes it sort of lame.
Disabilities: One rear minorly lame leg, it only bugs him on some days.
Weaknesses: He isn't very strong at all, isn't very good at fighting, and can't really move well on days that his leg is bothering him.
Strengths: He's one of the clan's best scouts and hunters, and has strikingly good vision. When he's having a good day, only a few highly skilled warriors can hear him coming or sense his presence.

Having suffered a life of bullying due to only being half Eagleclan, he had to teach himself how to not resent others for their ignorant comments from an early age. However, he also tends to be weak-willed to those whom he cares about, and will do anything in his power to meet their standards and demands. He's got a very kind disposition, but it's rarely shown on the stoic tom, usually only seen by his siblings and apprentices, and the few that befriend him. On the other hand, he's very duty-bound and loyal to his clan, and takes his job as scout and one of the best hunters very seriously, beating himself up if he doesn't bring in the most prey or if his leg keeps him from his duties for a day. He can be bitter about his injury, but tends to also stay optimistic, and thanks Stellarclan for his continued ability to walk and perform his duties as a warrior.

Backstory:
Ilexstrike and his siblings were born into a litter of forbidden love. His mother, Pondlily, had fraternized with a loner tom, Roan, for a few moons, and had gotten pregnant out of the ordeal. Her birthing process killed her, unfortunately, leaving the kits without a mother and the hateful medicine cat, Redleg, with an excuse to call the kits cursed by Stellarclan. Roan came back to get his children after hearing the news from another of her clanmates who knew the tom, but when he invaded in the dead of night to whisk his hated kits away, he only managed to get one, Deerkit, whom he later renamed Orphie. The clan cats chased him out when he went back for the others, leaving the remaining three siblings without either parent.
An already nursing queen, Dewheart, took pity on the tiny kits and nursed them with her own kit. She had lost two of her own to a bout of greencough, and felt bad for the tiny lives that were being judged for their parents' decisions. She was the mother they never had, and ended up adopting them, shielding them as best she could from the hateful stares and distrustful words.
Most of the clan had deemed their mother's untimely death as a curse from their ancestors for her outsider lover, and bullied the kits relentlessly for being only half-clanners. For his sisters, this made them resent Stellarclan and turn their backs on them for allowing such a thing to happen to them as kits, but for Ilexkit, it just made him hate himself. He spent his fifth and sixth moon trying to make friends and trying to prove that he was just as much a clan cat as anyone elses, but it hardly worked. His rejection made Ilexkit draw into himself, and until he met his mentor, Talltree, he suffered pretty severe depression.
His mentor had sneered at him from day one, but the blatant disrespect and hatefulness made Ilexpaw determined, even as it made his mental health worse. He was determined to get at least one clanmate on his side that wasn't his sisters, and he decided that if he couldn't even do that, he'd just wander off and die alone somewhere, because he didn't deserve the life he was given if everyone hated him for it. It was a very distressing time for his sisters, this period in Ilexpaw's life, because they did their best to support him and be there for him, but he didn't have the same mentality that they did, he couldn't withstand all the hateful jeering from cats that were supposed to be on his side, supposed to have been his mother's clanmates.
His unusually small size didn't make any of this better. He had been the runt of his litter, signifigantly shorter and weaker than Seapaw and Sprucepaw, and also signifigantly worse at fighting. He excelled at hunting and stealth, but Talltree convinced the small tom that if he couldn't fight as well, he was completely useless. Seapaw and Sprucepaw actively worked against this mentality for moons afterwards, boasting about Ilexpaw's stealth and hunting prowess anytime they could fit it in to those they had all but bullied into being their friends, and smugly proclaiming that they doubted anyone could track or find Ilexpaw if he didn't want to be found.
Talltree, tired of his clanmates "falling for the nonsense," decided to put these claims to the test one day, and, after getting permission from Rapidstar for it, sent Ilexpaw out on his own, to an area of the territory that was known to have badgers there seasonally. He figured he'd follow after Ilexpaw, the apprentice would get scared or injured, and he could play the hero and bring him back, boasting about how he was the best, as he had sucessfully tracked and saved the supposed untrackable Ilexpaw. But his plan backfired. Ilexpaw was indeed as good as his sisters praised him for being, and Talltree couldn't find the apprentice, who had hidden himself safely within the shrubbery close by to his mentor.
Unfortunately, the season was in for the badgers to be around, and one attacked his mentor. Talltree was caught by surprise, being so focused on finding his stray apprentice that he didn't notice the bumbling predator barrelling at him. But Ilexpaw was faster than the brute, barrelling himself into Talltree and slapping the badger weakly, but enough to get it's attention. The predator bit down hard on Ilexpaw's hind leg to shake him away from the larger warrior, but thankfully Talltree had called a patrol to follow him a few leagues behind to see his triumph, and they appeared seconds after the badgfer attacked, helping to fight it off and chase it into the underbrush.
Talltree panicked, picking up the shivering and bleeding apprentice and racing back to camp. He had never intended to hurt his apprentice, just scare him into knowing his place, and even though he had been an awful mentor, Ilexpaw still risked himself to save Talltree. The guilt flooded the mentor as he burst into the camp, howling for help to get Ilexpaw to the medicine cave. He was tired of bullying a young cat, and wasn't even sure why they had started to in the first place. What did he do to deserve it? It was too little too late, however, Ilexpaw was devastated by his injuries, and spiraled into an even heavier depression. Redleg was less than enthusiastic about treating the "half-traitor," but with a newly supportive Talltree, and some menacing sisters standing over him, he did.
Ilexpaw recieved his warrior name, Ilexstrike, for his bravery in the face of danger, and made a near full recovery. And though he still struggles with finding his place, and quelling thoughts of not belonging and wanting to vanish due to his injuries and bloodline, he has the support of most of his clanmates now, being seen as a full Eagleclanner for his actions.
During the war, the young warrior - being made a warrior at only 10 moons - helped as much as he could when his leg wouldn't bother him. He was among the many to disagree with Rapidstar for bringing in rogues, and hurt that his clanmates didn't treat them the same way they had treated his family. Regardless, these cats saved him from the badger, and he used his skills to scout the other clans before large battles, staying away from the actual fighting but providing his clanmates with support where he could.
When Rapidstar had his throat torn out and his body tossed off the high cliffs of the camp by the rogues, Ilexstrike aided his clanmates in driving them out, his agility only slightly hampered by his leg, but he was still faster than the untrained brutes. He helped instate Burrowstar by driving the now-invaders out, and, when the old leader died of an unknown disease, welcomed Ptarmiganstar into leadership again alongside his clan. Though wary of the molly, he currently serves as her loyal warrior.
