Aquila breathed a sigh of relief as things seemed to settle, his mind easing as Skunk nodded along and Ilexstrike sat with a few licks to his ruffled chest fur. Quick as ever to bounce off the change in tone, Aquila settled back on his own haunches, offering Skunk a bright, appreciative look in turn. Aquila was glad the other tom had let his temper simmer down.

At the explanation of a clan and Ilexstrike's interest in his own little family, Aquila's ears perked up, twitching happily. "Oh, Alessia was actually one of my farmfolk! She had an older companion too, maybe her father? His name was Renato, but he was usually busy. Arturo taught me all about hunting and fighting and other cat stuff! He never did talk though..."

Trailing off, Aquila turned his head slightly as Ilexstrike addressed Skunk. There was little pause before the young tom nodded vehemently along. "Yea no way! I won't forget either, I bet you're real cool once cats get to know ya," Aquila chirped brightly. "You can go if ya wanna...but I like the company."

Ilexstrike was speaking again, and while it wasn't a threat, his crafted image did not seem too welcoming either. Aquila's ears twitched a little uneasily. 'Right, the pelt removing. Better watch out for that.' It really was quite easy to believe Ilexstrike was their best bet for surviving this supposed disrespect.

Even so, Aquila could not help wondering.

"Is it really so disrespectful to walk or rest here, if we aren't from a clan?" Truthfully, the concept was a little difficult to grasp. Sure, this Stellarclan sounded intriguing, and Ilexstrike seemed awfully serious about the whole sacred thing...but how was walking along the path or napping on a rock so bad?

Aquila was idling on that thought when the clan tom snapped him to attention once more, breaching the topic of where he came from. Right, he had not mentioned that when he discussed his family, had he? Brightening again, the young tom nodded eagerly.

"Yea, somewhere aaaaaall the way back that way through the caves and stuff and past all the twoleg camps to the big fields with the sheep! But it was a pretty weird trip so-" Aquila cut himself off with a deflated chuckle, somewhere between nervous and regretful. "I don't think I could find my way back."
